Established in 1987 by Steve Ridgewell and Glyn Fulcher, the laboratory specialises in providing high-quality crown & bridge, implant, and prosthetic work to the West End of London and further afield, offering a dedicated personal service to dentists in the private sector.
All the work is carried out in our modern, Central London laboratory.

We offer a wide range of products to suit almost any requirement. A full list of our products and services, with prices, is available on request. We have a Nobel Biocare Procera Forte scanner and a 3M-ESPE LavaScan scanner in the laboratory so that we are able to produce custom-made zirconia and titanium implant abutments and all-ceramic alumina and zirconia copings and bridge frameworks, maintaining the design and production in-house.
Our range of products from the gold department includes the traditional bonded porcelain work, gold inlays and full crowns, cast gold cores and posts, telescopic crowns and copings, Rochette and Maryland bridges, cast metal splints and soldering procedures, to Captek crowns, precision attachment work (either in bridgework or combination removable prosthetic work), and various types of dental implant techniques covering all the major implant systems currently on the market. All bonded porcelain work (with certain exceptions) is constructed using precious metal alloys.
Ceramic work includes standards such as porcelain jackets, veneers, inlays and bonded porcelain work to Procera all-porcelain alumina and zirconia crowns and bridges, e-max pressable ceramic inlays, onlays, veneers and crowns, and 'Lava' zirconia all-ceramic crowns and bridges. We use GC Initial, Ivoclar, and 3M-ESPE porcelains, and shade-taking can be done at either the dental surgery or here at the laboratory.
We specialize in most aspects of acrylic work and can offer all-acrylic or acrylic/chrome-cobalt removable prosthetic work, splints, implant stents, bite-raising appliances, provisional crowns and bridges and composite crowns and inlays. We are also able to supply custom-made clear or coloured mouthguards, acrylic special trays, and can undertake denture repairs, additions and alterations.
Fulcher & Ridgewell Ltd is primarily a crown and bridge dental laboratory specializing in all aspects of crown and bridge work, acrylic provisionals, precision attachment work, and all aspects of implant technology, but we also undertake all types of acrylic denture work, bite-raising appliances, mouthguards, chrome-cobalt denturework, and so forth. We have many years experience in crown and bridge technology, and are able to offer a wide range of products and services in this field. We are familiar with many of the implant systems currently on the market. Shade matching can be done at the laboratory, where we may also use digital photography to assist us in our work.
We feel it is important to maintain a rapport with our clients, and welcome the opportunity for them to visit us here at the laboratory to discuss their cases, or alternatively, we would be happy to attend the surgery in order to meet with the patient.

All prices in our Price Brochure are subject to change without notice.
All impressions must be disinfected before being sent to the laboratory. We reserve the right to refuse to handle any impressions that appear not to have been disinfected.
Prices do not include the cost of precious metals, which will be itemised separately on the invoice.
We do not have stated turn-round times, but generally we require 2 weeks from receipt of job to completion. Larger or more complex cases may require more time. We encourage the practice of booking-in work with the laboratory to ensure a specific return date.
All our work is covered by a 3 year guarantee against faulty workmanship or materials, on a like-for-like basis. The guarantee does not cover trauma or breakage due to misuse.
Remakes for reasons other than faulty workmanship are made on a ‘no-blame’ basis, for a period not exceeding one year from date of invoice, and charged at 50% of the list price.
On fitting, work is deemed by us to have been accepted by the prescribing dentist as complying with the specifications and requirements of the job prescription received by the laboratory.
If a particular item of work is deemed unacceptable, or requires to be remade, then the laboratory must be notified as soon as possible, otherwise the guarantee will become void.
A small handling charge is added to the cost of materials used.
The prescribing dentist is responsible for the specification and suitability of any appliance we are asked to construct.
Additional costs may be incurred if a job’s prescription is altered during manufacture in the laboratory.
In the unfortunate event of a job being delivered late, or not in accordance with the job prescription, then the laboratory will not be held liable for consequential loss or other expenses incurred.
A surcharge may be applied if we are asked to complete a job in a shorter time than usual.
Invoices are payable 30 days from date of invoice. A surcharge may be levied for late payment.
